1. Purpose and Scope

This Anti-Fraud Policy describes common fraud risks in cross-border B2B trade, the measures Global Trade Sourcing takes to help detect and deter fraud on the Global Trade Sourcing B2B Platform (the “Platform”), and how Users can protect themselves and report suspected fraud. This Policy forms part of, and should be read together with, the Terms & Conditions.

2. Common Fraud Patterns in B2B Trade

  • Advance-fee fraud, where a party requests upfront payment, deposits, or fees for goods, certifications, or services that are never delivered;
  • Fake payment proof, where a party sends a falsified bank transfer receipt or payment confirmation to induce shipment or release of goods;
  • Look-alike domains and phishing, where fraudulent emails or websites impersonate Global Trade Sourcing, a Supplier, or a Buyer to redirect payments or harvest login credentials;
  • Bank detail interception, where a fraudster intercepts email communication between a genuine Buyer and Supplier and substitutes altered banking details; and
  • Identity and document fraud, where fake business registration, certification, or verification documents are submitted to appear more credible.

3. Platform Fraud-Detection Measures

Global Trade Sourcing uses a combination of automated monitoring, document review during verification, and manual investigation of reported activity to identify accounts and behavior patterns associated with fraud. These measures assist in reducing fraud risk but cannot identify or prevent every fraudulent act, particularly conduct that occurs off-Platform, such as in direct email or bank transfers between Users.

4. User Precautions

  • independently verify a trading partner's business registration, address, and banking details through sources other than a single email, particularly before making or accepting a large payment;
  • be cautious of unsolicited price changes, urgent payment requests, or requests to use a new or personal bank account;
  • verify email senders carefully, checking for look-alike domains or subtle misspellings in company names; and
  • use Platform messaging and, where available, Platform-facilitated payment options rather than moving communication off-Platform at an early stage, to preserve a verifiable record.

5. Reporting Suspected Fraud

If you suspect fraudulent activity involving the Platform or another User, report it immediately using the contact details in Section 10, including all relevant account names, listing links, messages, and payment records. Prompt reporting improves the chance of limiting harm to you and other Users.

6. Actions Global Trade Sourcing May Take

Where Global Trade Sourcing reasonably believes a User has engaged in fraudulent conduct, it may suspend or terminate the User's account, remove related listings and Content, withhold or reverse pending payouts where applicable, and take any other action permitted under Section 14 (Monitoring, Moderation, Suspension, and Termination) of the Terms.

7. No Guarantee Against Fraud

Global Trade Sourcing is not a party to Transactions between Users and does not guarantee, insure, or reimburse losses arising from fraud committed by a User or a third party. This Policy is provided for informational and risk-reduction purposes only and does not create any warranty or financial guarantee by Global Trade Sourcing.

8. Cooperation with Authorities

Global Trade Sourcing may cooperate with law enforcement, regulators, and payment providers in investigating suspected fraud, including by providing account information in response to lawful requests, consistent with the Privacy Policy.

9. Changes to this Policy

Global Trade Sourcing may update this Anti-Fraud Policy from time to time by posting the revised version on the Platform to reflect emerging fraud patterns and improved safeguards.
