Buyer Terms

1. Purpose and Scope

These Buyer Terms set out additional obligations that apply specifically to Users acting as a Buyer on the Global Trade Sourcing B2B Platform (the “Platform”). They form part of, and should be read together with, the Terms & Conditions. In the event of a conflict specific to buyer conduct, these Buyer Terms govern.

2. Buyer Eligibility and Account Accuracy

A Buyer must provide accurate, current, and complete company and contact information at registration and keep it up to date. Global Trade Sourcing may request supporting documentation to verify a Buyer's identity or business status, particularly before granting access to premium lead or messaging features.

3. Posting Inquiries and RFQs

• Inquiries and RFQs posted on the Platform must relate to a genuine sourcing need and must not be posted solely to collect competitor pricing, harvest supplier contact details, or for any purpose other than legitimate sourcing.
• Buyers must provide sufficiently accurate specifications, quantities, and requirements to allow Suppliers to respond meaningfully, and must not knowingly submit false or misleading requirements.
• Detailed conduct rules for RFQs are set out in the RFQ Terms, which form part of these Buyer Terms by reference.

4. Buyer Conduct Towards Suppliers

• Buyers must communicate with Suppliers in good faith and must not use abusive, discriminatory, or harassing language.
• Buyers must not request free samples, designs, or services from multiple Suppliers without genuine purchase intent, or misrepresent order size or urgency to extract concessions.
• Buyers must not solicit a Supplier to circumvent the Platform's messaging, payment, or fee systems in a manner that violates the Terms.

5. Evaluating Suppliers and Making Purchase Decisions

Buyers are solely responsible for evaluating a Supplier's suitability, legitimacy, product quality, capacity, and compliance with applicable law before entering into a Transaction. Verification badges, ratings, or ranking on the Platform assist discovery but do not constitute a guarantee or endorsement of any Supplier, as further explained in the Verification Policy.

6. Payments and Transaction Risk

Buyers are responsible for exercising appropriate diligence before making payments to a Supplier, including verifying banking details independently and being alert to common fraud patterns described in the Anti-Fraud Policy. Global Trade Sourcing is not a party to, and does not guarantee, insure, or mediate, payments made directly between Buyers and Suppliers off-Platform.

7. Prohibited Buyer Conduct

• posting fake or duplicate RFQs, or RFQs on behalf of a competing platform;
• using Buyer status to access Supplier data for a purpose prohibited under the Terms, including building a competing directory;
• engaging in advance-fee schemes, chargeback fraud, or other deceptive payment practices; and
• impersonating another business or individual when posting as a Buyer.

8. Reporting Suspicious Suppliers

If a Buyer suspects a Supplier is engaged in fraud, misrepresentation, or a prohibited activity, the Buyer should report it promptly using the contact details in Section 10, in accordance with the Anti-Fraud Policy.

9. Relationship to the Terms & Conditions

These Buyer Terms supplement, and do not replace, the general obligations applicable to all Users under the Terms & Conditions. Where these Buyer Terms are silent, the Terms & Conditions apply.
