Verification Policy

Last updated: 1 July 2026

1. Purpose and Scope

This Verification Policy explains what verification badges and statuses (such as “Verified,” “Gold Supplier,” or similar designations) mean on the Global Trade Sourcing B2B Platform (the “Platform”), how they are obtained, and their limitations. This Policy forms part of, and should be read together with, the Terms & Conditions.

2. What Verification Means

Verification is a process by which Global Trade Sourcing reviews certain information and documentation submitted by a User in order to display a verification badge or status on that User's profile or listings. Verification is intended to provide additional context to other Users and is not a certification, endorsement, or guarantee by Global Trade Sourcing of the verified User's product quality, financial condition, or business conduct.

3. Types of Verification and Badges

  • Business Verification — confirms that basic business registration or identity documentation submitted by the User has been reviewed for consistency with information on the User's profile.
  • Premium / Gold / Featured Badges — indicate that a User holds a specific paid membership tier, as described in the Membership Terms, and may be combined with additional review steps.
  • Product or Certification Badges — may indicate that a User has submitted specific product certificates, test reports, or licenses for review, where offered on the Platform.

4. Verification Process

  • The User submits requested documentation, which may include business registration certificates, tax registration, identity documents of an authorized representative, or product certifications, depending on the badge sought.
  • Global Trade Sourcing, or a third-party verification provider acting on its behalf, performs a documentary review to check consistency of the submitted information with the User's profile and, where applicable, publicly available registries.
  • Where the review is satisfactorily completed, Global Trade Sourcing displays the corresponding badge on the User's profile and listings. Global Trade Sourcing may decline to grant, or may delay, a badge at its discretion, including where documentation is incomplete, inconsistent, or unverifiable.

5. What Verification Does Not Guarantee

Verification is based on a documentary and, where applicable, limited third-party review at a point in time. It does not constitute an audit of the User's ongoing operations, financial standing, product quality, manufacturing capability, or legal compliance, and does not guarantee that the User will perform any Transaction as agreed. Buyers and Suppliers remain solely responsible for conducting their own due diligence before entering into a Transaction, as set out in the Terms, Buyer Terms, and Supplier Terms.

6. Ongoing Monitoring and Revocation

Global Trade Sourcing may suspend or revoke a verification badge at any time, without prior notice, if it discovers that submitted information was false, outdated, or misleading, if the User is found to violate the Terms, or if the underlying membership or subscription supporting the badge lapses or is cancelled.

7. Reporting a Concern About a Verified User

If you believe a verified User has misrepresented its verification status, provided fraudulent documentation, or engaged in conduct inconsistent with its badge, please report it using the contact details in Section 9, in accordance with the Anti-Fraud Policy.

8. Changes to this Policy

Global Trade Sourcing may update this Verification Policy from time to time, including the criteria, documentation, and process for any badge, by posting the revised Policy on the Platform.
